Lawsuit Update - Business Communications Company, Inc.

Payment has been received on June 26, 2003.

A judgment against Business Communications Company, Inc. in the amount of $1051.00 has been levied by the small claims court on May 13, 2003 Internet Business Initiatives, LLC.

They spammed us 3 times using first name personalizations at our iBizInitiatives.com address. We didn't have a prior business relationship with the company and never granted them permission to email us. They also failed to include their address and/or 800 phone number.

Based on the evidence submitted by the defendent at the trial they obtained our email address by lifting it from the American Marketing Association Membership Directory. This also appears to be a violation of the usage provisions listed in the directory.
